The OCR XMas List Guide
It is that time of year again. If you are like me you are often waiting until the last minute to scramble and find gifts for the holidays. Well I am always excited to come across lists that give me ideas.
With the OCR enthusiast in mind, there are so many awesome gifts that they would love this holiday season. From apparel, to supplements, training equipment, and tech, there are just so many options. Hopefully this list gives you some ideas and makes your shopping alittle bit easier.
For some of these items I do have coupon codes so hopefully you can save some money too. And yes for some of these I do make a commission, but I only promote products I use and believe to be helpful.
In no particular order here are some of my favorite gift ideas for OCR athletes.
With a ton of options here from Ted Lasso Believe to Daniel-son I don’t think you can go wrong. This is a great choice for those that want to workout in style.
2. Ancore Training System
I just can’t speak highly enough with this versatile training tool. While it is on the pricey side, I have no doubt that anyone would love this gift. This is a great pick for someone who is looking for that next piece of equipment to add to their gym. It is essentially adding a cable system to your home gym without the price tag or requiring much space. Plus it has the ability to train more velocity than cable machines. Use code OCRUNDERGROUND to save 10%. (Not good for the Ancore Pro)
3. True Nutrition Custom Supplements
There are a few good companies out there, but for many I will recommend True Nutrition. They make high quality products and have a great selection. But what you should really check out are their custom products. You can design your own protein, oatmeal, or smoothie mixes. From flavors to ingredients you can design it all. This is a great option when you know exactly what you want in your mixes. Use the link below for a Immunity Support Smoothie Mix I created.

4. Fit Bar Grip Training Tools
While it would be awesome to have obstacles to train on in your garage or backyard, that probably isn’t the case for most people. That doesn’t mean you can’t regularly build on the skills you need to get through some of the toughest obstacles. Hanging grip and transitional grip strength are common struggles for many. Having a variety of grip training tools will come in handy with your regular training routine. Check out some of my favs like the Mini Cane Grips, Fat Grips, and Hang Board Grips. A great combo for improving your crush, pinch, and support grip strength.

5. Whitin Minimalist Cross Trainers
I have recommended these to so many people and they all love them. You won’t see many clothing and shoe gift recommendations on here, because size is always a challenge. But I couldn’t leave these off the list. If you aren’t using minimalist shoes for some of your training, I really think you are missing out. Your feet need work just like the rest of your body and the sneakers you wear will make a huge difference. With the Whitin Cross Trainers, I would not recommend running in though. These are more for just casual walking and strength training. They are incredibly comfortable and lightweight. Your feet can feel everything as you train.

6. Venga CBD Recovery Products
As they say, the goal is to train, recovery, repeat. Most get the train and repeat part, but do not actively work on the recover part. It is more than just not working out. You are trying to get every advantage you can so you are better prepared to hit your next session. There are many aspects of recovery you can focus on but CBD can be an important piece. Venga designed their products specifically with the endurance athlete in mind, so it is a perfect fit for any serious OCR athlete. Check out all of there product below:

7. Mobo
Ok this is a new one that came to may attention, but I had to put it in here. Mobo is an all in one mobility tool. If you are doing myofasical work, you probably have a whole bunch of things you are using from lacrosse balls to foam rollers. The mobo is one tool that can be used in a variety of ways to make it an incredibly versatile mobility tool. Instead of throwing a bunch of things in your gym back you can just travel with the Mobo. It is alittle hard to explain here all it can do so make sure you check it out and see how versatile it really is.
8. Morpheus Recovery and HR Monitor
If you aren’t using a heart rate monitor for your training, you are just guessing with your workouts. The power of using customize HR training zones is just far superior to anything else. Plus you can see your progress when you are tracking your heart rate. Now if you throw in heart rate variability, HRV, on top of that, you have an amazing 1-2 punch. HRV tracking is a great tool to help you monitor recovery and alter your workouts when necessary. Then you use HR training to make sure you are hitting the right training intensities during the workout. Check out the Morpheus Recovery and HR monitors. You get one strap for measure daily HRV each morning and the HR monitor strap to use during your workouts. The really cool part about this system is it automatically changes your training zones based on your recovery score. This make sure you are pushing when you are fully recovered and backing off when you are not.
9. Flex Movement Kord and Disc
There are many training tools out that to add to your gym that will truly help improve your performance. One of the biggest things I look for when adding new equipment to my gym is how versatile something is. Can I use it for a variety of goals and exercises? If it is used for just one exercise or one muscle I will pass every time. Flex Movement has a few really great products that are affordable and compact to add to any gym space. I love the Flex Kord and Flex Discs. There is just too much to list that you can do with them, so click on the link below to see a few example of exercises.

10. Fuel & Fire
I know I know, but I had to do it. How can I have a top 10 gift list and not include my book? Regardless of your fitness level, there is something for everyone in this book. My goal was simple. Give you an system to follow that includes both your training and your nutrition. Many programs out there focus on one or the other, but don’t explain how they work together to maximize performance. I dive into how this relationship workouts specifically for OCR Training plus give you a training plan to get started with. Click below to pick up a copy.
