This past weekend I had the priveledge of joining Coach Q’s workout in Southern California. If you are ever in the Orange County area I highly recommend you check out this workout. There is nothing like a good butt kicking at the beach. You at least get a nice distraction from the amazing scenery. I caught up with Coach Q after the workout to get his insight on training, why he was attracted to Spartan Races, and some of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to train for a Spartan Race. 4 Rounds
15 Overhead Squat With A Log
20yd Bear Crawl with Sand Bag Drag
20yd Frog Hop
20yd Duck Walk
20yd Sand Bag Burpee Throws
6X10yd Shuttle Runs
20yd Bucket Carry
Stair Run
10 Step Ups (each leg)
There was a little more to the workout we did but this was the main circuit. This was all done at the beach but can be adjusted for anywhere.
